Why does this blog exist? Why the split from Amplifier: the Original? Joe Wilson. Well, not really, but sort of. Amplifier Houston is my brother and I love him dearly, but his political blog is linked to Original Amplifier. All I will say here is that I strongly disagree with both the tone and veracity of the information on that blog and I do not want my name, even my blogger identity, associated with his blog. We each have strongly held beliefs, as we are each entitled to, but they are, to put it mildly, polar opposites.

I know I made several partisan political posts on Amplifier I that may not have pleased AH. To his credit, he never complained. I believe, however, that while based on my personal opinions, these posts were free of both hate and misinformation.

But what does this have to do with Representative Wilson? He is the current poster boy for a very vocal minority in America that I believe act irresponsibly and spread false claims to achieve political gain. You can do the math from there.

There will be posts of a political nature in the blog and I will call out those who continue to do what Joe Wilson has done. If you don't like it you can turn off your computer machine. Or go to my brother's blog. It's a free country.

And the big news for the Nashville Predators this season? A new third jersey! The old third jersey, shown here, was loved and hated in equal measure and then discarded when the NHL adopted the Reebok Edge jerseys a few seasons ago. The new third jersey will be unveiled at the Predators pre-season game against the Thrashers. The team is reporting that the new jersey will have a "traditional/retro mix" look. You can look elsewhere on the internets for some supposed "leaked images" of the jersey, but I doubt they are accurate.

The Predators regular season will begin on October 3rd in Dallas. The home opener is on October 6th against the Avalanche. See ya there!
